Odyssey Festival Orchestra is an orchestra designed principally for 18-30 year-olds. Its inaugural concert was in September 2022 at Cadogan Hall.
They aim to present music in a bold and creative atmosphere and to the highest standards and also aspire to build a new, younger, more philosophically engaged audience for our musical adventures. They aim to present music in the context of its time. More importantly want to inform as well as entertain.
The Orchestra is committed to improving diversity in classical music and recruit players from a diverse range of backgrounds. Odyssey Festival Orchestra are also committed to the development of their players, providing first rate instrumental tutors for the courses as well as the opportunity to perform in London’s top concert venues.
They regularly offer free concert tickets to 100+ young people – in school groups of 10-20 with their teachers. Many of these children have never been to a concert. They are prepared in advance by their players, who introduce the project in their school.
